Strong AI, also known as artificial general intelligence (AGI), refers to AI systems that are capable of displaying human-like intelligence across a broad range of domains. Strong AI is hypothetical and aims to replicate human intelligence in all its complexity and flexibility. It would be capable of understanding and learning from experience, reasoning, problem-solving, decision-making, and natural language communication. Strong AI would also be able to generalize its knowledge to new situations and tasks. While current AI systems are not capable of strong AI, research in the field aims to develop AI systems that can match or exceed human-level intelligence in a variety of domains.
