After the last major update to the whole platform the changes now mainly include the R-Score and the work in the Topic Analysis tab in Discover. We have added new filtering capabilities and an easy-to-use "Expand/Collapse all topics" button for better overviews in the topic structure. Additionally, the Home Dashboard now features a section to manage broken links, helping you quickly identify and fix unreachable URLs. Here we present the latest updates in more detail.
New Features Rolled Out for Discover's Topic Analysis Tab
The filters have been revised to filter the entire topic structure on all levels in the Discover Tab. Now you can easily get the most important insights during your search. As soon as you set filters in the Discover Tab, these are applied to all topics regardless of the level. Topics that do not match the selected filter are grayed out so that you can see and understand the results immediately. The current position in the topic overview is retained, even if you set new filters.
In addition, you can now easily expand and collapse the entire topic structure with all subtopics with a single click. This is very easy to do using the “Expand all” button. This is located to the right of the “Winners and losers” button. The first click will expand all topics. If you want to change the overview so that you only see the parent topics, click on the button again.
In addition, you can also fully expand only individual parent topics. A tooltip appears when you hover with the mouse over the ▶ icon next to the desired topic. With Shift (⇧)+Click you can easily expand all subtopics of an area. Collapsing works in the same way. This makes it even easier to find your way around the topic structure.
Manage Broken Links Easily in Home Dashboard
A new section in the Home Dashboard now helps you to quickly find broken links in published articles and determine whether articles are no longer reachable via the specified URL. You will find the section below the planning section in the Home Dashboard.
On the left-hand side, we display the articles in which a broken link was found. Clicking on the article will take you directly to the editor where you can remove the affected link.
On the right side we show the articles that are no longer reachable under the URL specified in the platform. Here you can edit the URL by clicking on the “Edit URL” button or you can click on the article title and edit the URL in the editor. Click on the “Open link” icon to open the URL of the article on your website that is no longer reachable.
If there are no broken URLs or inaccessible articles for your project, this section will be hidden in the Home Dashboard. Once changes have been made, the new URLs are checked directly and previously affected articles are removed from the section after a short time. This allows you to intervene quickly in the event of incorrect URLs and thus ensure a good user experience.
R-Score Revamp: Elevate Your SEO and Content Clarity
To ensure that Google evaluates your articles in a positive way, we are constantly improving our R-Score to give you the right tips and advice. For example, we have now adjusted the calculation for the use of "must use" and "good to use" keywords. In addition, the R-Score now also checks whether the links you have inserted are accessible. This way you can find out whether your article is SEO optimized and user-friendly during the writing process or before publishing an article.
Improved Prompting and Other Small Updates
The prompts for the automatic generation of the article introduction and conclusion as part of the complete article generation have been optimized. Further minor updates concern the input of the article URL. The input field within the meta data has been removed and the article URL can now only be inserted via the article details tab on the right. There are also other enhancements in the background that improve work in the platform.
We hope you have fun testing the new features and optimizing your content strategy and production! 🙂
