The recent series of updates to the Rellify platform introduces a variety of features designed to enhance user experience and optimize article performance. Among these improvements are enhanced ranking insights, refined metrics for readability and formatting, new article statuses, and logical process adjustments.
Display of ranking drops and gains
The changes in the ranking of all published articles are now displayed in the Home Dashboard as well as in the article list in the Monitor tab. In the Home Dashboard you will find the overview to the right of the most recently indexed articles. This gives you a quick overview of how the ranking of your articles has changed compared to the last 7 days.
Update of the R-score and suggestions
The R-score has been adjusted so that the sentence length is no longer calculated for each individual sentence, but on average. As soon as the average sentence length is greater than 22 words, a message is displayed. The longest sentences in the text are highlighted in color so that they can be shortened to improve readability.
The recommendations for boldings have also been reduced. As soon as no words or too many words are bolded in a paragraph, the corresponding improvement suggestion is displayed on the left-hand side in the Editor. If there are too many bolded words, we highlight the paragraph concerned by clicking on the suggestion.
Changes to article statuses
The following statuses can be defined for an article:
- To do: Articles with this status were created in Discover, but writing has not yet begun.
- Brief: The outline for these articles is currently being created and the writing process is being prepared.
- Write: All articles that are currently being written.
- Review: Articles with this status are currently being proofread and checked before publication. At the top right of the Editor you will see the "Approve" button. As soon as you click this, the status of the article changes to "Done".
- Done: All articles that have been completed have this status.
- On hold: You can assign this status to articles that are currently not being edited.
The articles in the article list of a project are sorted according to these statuses. By default, the sections for To do and In Progress (Brief, Write, Review) are always displayed. The article list can be filtered according to all seven statuses mentioned above.
Further improvements
In order to make the process from creating an article to structuring the outline more logical, the article suggestion from Discover is now automatically used as the first heading (H1) in the outline. We also made a revision of the graphs in Discover and fixed some bugs for you. Have fun with the updates and your work in Rellify!
